4 Tips To Overthink Less and Be In Action More

I am here to help you create freedom of time, money, authenticity, and energy. Courage is required for this journey.

Do you struggle with overthinking?

My desire is for you to gain a new thought or take a new action to help you move toward your freedom.

I was a senior network engineer, a very intellectually demanding role where I solved and prevented problems all day. Overthinking served me well back then, but now, as an entrepreneur, it's getting in my way.

I'm going to describe one of my cycles of overthinking, and I'd like you to think about yours.

One of my overthinking cycles was:

🏔️ I'd be faced with a big challenge or decision.

🔄 I'd repeatedly think about all the potential choices and outcomes, with the potential negative outcomes taking up most of my thinking cycles

I'd never make a decision - afraid that it might be wrong and that being wrong would negatively impact my professional brand and future opportunities. I didn't want people to see me as incompetent.

🥱 I'd become so mentally drained that I'd go away and recharge my batteries.

🔄 Back to thinking about it!

📞 📱 Call a friend:
Build a circle of people you trust and can contact for reciprocal support.

💪🏾 Get into your body:
Take a walk, workout, meditate, or even drop down and do five push-ups. Getting into your body will help you get out of your head.

🔍 Go Small:
Ask yourself, "What is the tiniest step I can take right now?"
Then do it!

Overthinking is standing in the way of your freedom. It's not serving you, it's slowing you down, and there's work to be done.

Courage is the conduit to your freedom.
