Create your next Oh sh!t moment
Last week, I wrote a post and included this picture:
A good friend of mine, Chris Frolic, inspires me each time I spend time with him. He asked me about this picture. He was intrigued by the picture and curious about the story.
At that moment, the thoughts that came up were that people would be bored if I told that story. After all, I did that a long time ago...and I don't want to make it about me.
Maybe you know the feeling or have your version of either accomplishing something and immediately moving to the next thing or thinking that your past accomplishments aren't of high significance?
The things that impact don't age.
The picture shows me giving my first international talk in Barcelona in 2022.
Let me set the scene for you. I'm experiencing lots of firsts:
My first time investing in a program designed to help me own my story and create a signature talk.
My first time in Barcelona.
My first time giving a meaningful talk on a stage in a room of roughly 40 strangers.
My first time wearing that suit. I bought it the day before in Barcelona.
I had an Oh sh!t moment two minutes before this picture. I was thinking:
What if I forget my talk?
What if I make a fool out of myself?
What if people don't connect with my message?
What if I stumble over my words and don't sound "professional" enough?
Guess what - none of those things happened.
In my talk, I speak about who I am, what I do, how I do it, and why. The bear I'm holding in the picture is Freddy. He represents my fear.
I'll leave a link to the video at the end.
Everything you want is on the other side of your next Oh sh!t moment. Those moments will forever expand you and your business and are critical to your growth and impact.
I'd love to hear from you if you're feeling courageous.
Tell me about an Oh sh!t moment from your past.
Leave a comment, send me an email, or a direct message.
Here's the YouTube link to my full talk. I'd love it if you'd subscribe. I discuss Freddy at 8:40.
