Be more visible
I met with my Courage to Impact community this week.
It’s a safe space where people be more courageous and encouraged, level up their thinking, and leave with nuggets and an action they can take the following day.
In this session, we discussed visibility.
The definition I like the most is being seen. The group defined it as repetition, presence, not hiding, and being in the light.
How would you define visibility?
I asked the group where they wanted to be more visible, and most people wanted to be more visible within their families and other relationships.
How about you?
Then we moved into creation. I asked them if they decided to level up their visibility, what would they create? This question took them deeper.
Their answers are powerful:
Creating stronger connections. A network of people who want me to win.
Creating a legacy of being there for each other.
Create a resolution for my negative self-image. To know and believe that I am just as important. I do matter.
We went into what scares them about that, and then what’s getting in the way of them leveling up?
Look at how vulnerable they are:
I’m scared of not knowing how.
I’m scared of my inner voice being right. It tells me that I’m not enough.
I’m scared of standing in someone else’s way. What if the rest of my family doesn’t want to spend time with me?
We created some empowering thoughts to think and say when that inner voice gets in the way. Here are a few:
There are many ways to increase my impact. I have others that will help me. I just need to ask them.
I am worthy and enough.
I am capable.
We wrapped up by creating a declaration that can empower them and others for a lifetime. Feel free to use it for yourself.
Here it is:
I am creating ______ by leveling up my visibility. When my fear crops up and says _____, I’ll shift my thinking and remind myself that _________.
If you enjoyed this exercise and would like more of it, our Courage to Impact Campfire begins on June 7th. It’s a 5-month group program for 10 people who want to increase their visibility and be a more courageous version of themselves.
We have 9 more spots left.
